iPhone 5 Jailbreak Will Be More Complicated Than iPad 2 Jailbreak ?

Fact is a fact. Apple has beaten many developers, hackers and jailbreakers with their newest devices. There are two examples. One is the iPad 2 jailbreak for which no exploit exists. Second is the iPhone 4 device which was introduced last year and still there is no software base unlock for it on higher basebands. So what are you expecting for the future Apple devices ?? Most probably the iPhone 5 jailbreak on iOS 5 will be even more complicated.

iPhone 4 Unlock on higher basebands:

Although they say that they have not made any promises. iPhone Dev Team is kind of right as writing on their OWN Twitter account is not a promise. But there is no purpose of announcing that the iPhone 4 unlock solution is coming soon when you have thousands and thousands of followers. Last what they can do is blame the technology news website for exaggerating and giving their announcements a hype. On the other hand, GeoHot has already confirmed that he do not have any unlock solution for basebands 02.10.04 & 03.10.01. If you are unaware, he was the first to unlock iPhone device. Anyways, its still locked and we are now waiting for the next generation iPhone device.

iPad 2 Jailbreak:

Yes we know you are anxiously waiting for an iPad 2 jailbreak solution. No promises has been made and it seems it too complicated to jailbreak it.

Comex was the only one who had an exploit that can jailbreak second generation iPad. But that was mysteriously patched by Apple. We have covered a news related to it which you can find here iPad 2 jailbreak by Comex patched. MuscleNerd is also working to find any solution but no progress till now.

Key member of Chronic Dev Team p0sixninja is also working on the iPad 2 jailbreak. Although he seems too slow and showed no progress but still he is trying his luck. We have already posted a news which you can find here Greenpois0n RC7 iPad 2 Jailbreak Work Progress.

We are expecting a lot from GeoHot. GeoHot is also returning to the iOS jailbreaking world. He has been teased by Chronic Dev Team key member Joshua Hill to make an iPad 2 jailbreak. We have already covered a news which you can find here iPad 2 jailbreak by GeoHot.

  • Why?

Ok but… Why hasn’t comex released his initial iPad 2 jailbreak for 4.3!? I’m still on 4.3 for this purpose!

    • jonny ungurean

because it was patched and it wasnt stable enough for a public release.

    • Peade

      It’s illegal

    • Anonymous

Supposedly some legal reasons, as his JB uses apple code, and apple will probably sue him if he releases it.
Even i’m on 4.3.. this is taking really long, more than 2 months already. at least comex should have released his JB, that would have done for the time being.
But i guess they are working hard, while we do nothing at all.
best of luck to those guys.

    • That’s why

Apple fixed his initial iPad 2 jailbreak in 4.3.1. Therefore he’s not going to put any effort in making a public 4.3 jailbreak. They’re now concentrating on jailbreaking the recent software (4.3.2/4.3.3).

Comex is not allowed to release the jailbreak for legal reasons.u00a0

Cuz it’s an illegal jailbreak for which he can get sued for…

    • Vcok821030

Same herenI’m still using 4.3 since I bought the iPad 2nI guess I have to buy apps now…n

    • bo

Because releasing the tools to jailbreak it would land them in some legal trouble with Apple…I remember comex stated something about this awhile ago with a full explanation, but I can no longer find it..

    • Sutehk

Yea, I also don’t understand why he hasn’t realised it. I know it was patched in 4.3.1, but what about those on 4.3?

    • jonnys dad

jonny un is a fag coward. but i know who he is.

  • Because…

Because of legal reasons with Apple Inc.

Once there is an exploit found for the iPad 2 it should make it easier for the iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S) since it will likely be using the same A5 chip.

  • Michau0142

u00a0From what I read on twitter the jailbreak for 4.3 used Apple code and would be illegal to release.

  • Rik0327

He said on a post he can’t for “legal right”

  • Salb

Apple products are only worth purchasing for the jailbreaks. Im ready to sell my IPad 2 and as for the iPhone, if the next is going to be tougher, bye bye iPhone.

  • Lsb

Yes, it is right, we are still on 4.3 and no info on this first exploit.

  • http://twitter.com/FoCUS89uk . .

some of the jailbreak has apples copyrighted code in it. nand it wasnt a full jailbreak

  • Jeff

Raise your hand if you’ve discovered that the iPad 2 blows without a jailbreak…… u00a0u00a0 (raises hand)
