Here is a great news. GeoHot is returning to the iOS jailbreaking world again with something new. Yes! the iPad 2 jailbreak. He has been teased by Chronic Dev Team key member Joshua Hill to make an iPad 2 jailbreak. If you are unaware, iPad 2 is the only device left that has no untethered jailbreak solution on the latest iOS 4.3.1 and iOS 4.3.2 firmware.
This is what p0sixninja has tweeted:
I challenged geohot to dump the iPad2 bootrom before me. Maybe having a worthy opponent will motivate me to work harder =P
As GeoHot is not on Twitter and all the account on Twitter after his name are fake. p0sixninja confirmed that GeoHot has accepted his challenge. Check out what he has said.

So its great to listen that finally GeoHot is back to the iOS jailbreaking. Not only this, we are expecting a bootrom level exploit which can be more effective and very complex for Apple to patch it. No userland jailbreak this time because GeoHot is back. But remember there are no ETAs.
GeoHot remained busy fighting and defending himself against a lawsuit by Sony. If you are unaware of this, GeoHot was sued by Sony for jailbreaking PlayStation3 PS3 firmware 3.55. The case is over now as both parties are settled down and he is back to iOS jailbreaking.

This is a big step in the iPad 2 jailbreak scenario. I love it…it’s a war which encourages progression. Imagine if GeoHot comes back in the next week with an iPad 2 and just says “Guess what, I have done it”. That would be immense, I’m not ruling out p0sixninja by any means.nThe jailbreaking community must love it when this happens.

As many have said before, the iPad 2 is nearly useless without a JB, but will quickly become awesome when it is JB’d.

Considering that most of these ” hackers” sell apps on cydia, wouldn’t it be in their best interest to get one out ASAP? What about Sauric? Maybe he can pitch some cash in and pay someone to JB.Seems he benefits the most. Without a J.B. he is out of business. I am starting to get a little pissed that people say “They do it for free”. B.s. Most of them sell apps. It is in their best interest. I pay for my cydia apps and it is starting to get to me that every time I get a new device I have to wait to use them.
