Evad3rs, the team behind the jailbreaking tool Evasi0n, has released an updated version of the software. The new Evasi0n7 version 1.0.7 comes with a fix for users who are unable to get Cydia package updates.

Although they could have released a fix using an evasi0n package update through Cydia but in this particular case, updating packages through Cydia is the actual issue in the first place. So they had to release an updated version of Evasi0n software itself.

iPhone Jailbreaking

This update is more for those who are actually facing the issue. If you haven’t had any issues updating Cydia packages, you don’t need to re-jailbreak your device with the updated software.

Evasi0n7 1.0.7 is capable of jailbreaking all devices compatible with iOS 7. All iOS 7 version including iOS 7, iOS 7.0.1, iOS 7.0.2, iOS 7.0.3, iOS 7.0.4, iOS 7.0.5 and iOS 7.0.6 can get a jailbreak treatment using it. But it is recommended to be on the latest version that is iOS 7.0.6. The upcoming iOS 7.1 won’t be jailbreak-able using Evasi0n7.
