Good news for the people using Apple TV 2G. Greenpois0n is coming to jailbreak it as well. The next version of Greenpois0n RC6 will also do an untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak on Apple TV 2G. Chronic Dev Team member pod2g has updated a READ ME file which shows the device which are compatible with the Greenpois0n RC5 jailbreak tool.
This is what it says about the comptible devices and Apple TV 2G support:

- iPod Touch 3G
- iPod Touch 4G
- iPad 1G
- iPhone 3Gs (all bootroms)
- iPhone 4
