Here we go, another tech conflict has just started. Previously we have updated you that a new app store for jailbroken iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is on its way. The new app store named as “Theme It” is not a real competitor of Cydia, the already present jailbreak app store. Theme It app store only contains the high quality skins and themes for your jailbroken iDevices. But why not the Cydia for the same purpose? Is it a little un- organized?? Jay Freeman aka Saurik, the developer behind the Cydia store has just added a new feature named Cydia Theme Center. The Cydia Theme Center will also allow you to download high quality themes in one place. You can download themes for your jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
It allows easy access to the Themes as the option is available right on the front page of Cydia. All you have to do is to select “New Themes” and it will promt you to select SD (iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS) themes or HD (retina display) themes. After that you can find hundreds of themes both free and paid.
Themes can also be previewed before you actually buy them. You can add these themes easily through Winterboard.
The new record keeper or indexer named “Whole Package Index” is there but currently the selection of themes is restricted to top selling Cydia themes and the ones picked by the staff of MacCiti and ModMyi.
