Sherif Hashim, the famous iPhone hacker has shown a video of untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and unlock for iPhone 4. The video has been shown after a follower of Hashim sent him a link and asked tell me that this is fake. The link which was a WordPress blog says:
THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO UNLOCK IT”…”It’s because Apple finally figured it out. They’ve found a way to shut him up”… “So until a new bunch of people, smarter people, show up on the jailbreaking/unlocking scene, we can wave goodbye to iPhone_dev, musclenerd and the infamous sherrif
etc etc.
Sheirf Hashim, after reading that mentioned his follower on Twitter with by replying:
roles are mixed up, faulty and funny, untethered 4.2.1 isn’t a joke http://www.twitvid.com/F5MUL , unlock follows when ready :)

The unlock for iPhone 4 will be followed by the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1. Seems like its ready.
iPhone Dev Team has already released a backup plan of untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. This version has few problems and the Dev Team is testing it with different versions of Redsn0w 0.9.7. Comex has a better version of untethered jailbreak which he might save for iOS 4.3.
