iOS 7.1 untethered jailbreak has been achieved on an iPhone 4 device, coming from Winocm, a well known name in the jailbreak community, who showed off a video of untethered jailbreak on a device running iOS 7.1.
The developer has released the video on YouTube and it looks like a Verizon iPhone 4 carrying the latest Apple software and its jailbroken.
Another strange thing to notice is that Winocm is soon going to be an Apple employee as the ha3ker has announced it earlier on his Twitter account. We thought he was going to abstain from the jailbreak activities but that doesn’t appear to be true.
He posted a short tweet saying ‘iOS 7.1 untethered boot.’ with a YouTube link of the video.
No further details have been provided by the developer but he has certainly sparked the hopes of people waiting for the untethered iOS 7.1 jailbreak.
This doesn’t necesarily means that we are going to get it. May be its just that he has found some vulnerability that may require further work.
With iOS 7.0 to 7.0.6 jailbreak already available, it is highly likely that all the developers are going to save their newly found vulnerabilities and exploits for future use instead of just throwing it out for every software update by Apple.
It would be better if they could hold these new finds for iOS 8 jailbreak instead of releasing it for iOS 7.1, but there will be many people out there who would disagree with that.
