We have told you many times about this event named MyGreatFest, the very first iOS jailbreaking convention. The event date is today that is September 17th. Whats so special about MyGreatFest? Yes its the very first time we are going to see a jailbreak convention plus famous iOS hackers are coming to the event.
JayFreeman as known as Saurik, the founder of jailbreak App Store Cydia will be there to attend this event. Members of Chronic Dev Team Posixninja and iOPK will also be attending MyGreatFest. Chronic Devs are known for their jailbreaking tool named Greenpois0n.
This is what MyGreatFest team says:
Our mission is to become the largest jailbreak/(i)community convention for coders, themers, hackers, developers or any other mobile device user. To leave others with the better understanding of what jailbreaking actually means to us, and that it does not stand for piracy. We aim to build upon a community that we believe to be the best there is. So please, tell the world our mission. MyGreatFest, for the community, by the community.
The venue of MyGreatFest is: Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London, E1. So, if you are in London and love to jailbreak your iOS device to install jailbreak apps, tweaks, etc. you can visit the mentioned place to attend the event. You can also meet the above mentioned famous jailbreakers.
Craig Fox, the event head is also intended to host the event in US in spring 2012. Let us see what kind of response he gets in London.
We are also expecting updates from Chronic Dev Team on iOS 5 untethered jailbreak. Of course the will not be releasing it as the public version of the firmware has not arrived yet. Hopefully they might announce something good.
