WinterBoard For iOS 7 Released, Supports iPhone 5s, iPad Air & Retina iPad Mini

Good news for those who like to apply themes on their iOS devices after jailbreaking them. New version of Winterboard has been released with complete support for iOS 7. The new Winterboard is also compatible with the arm64 devices that includes iPhone 5s, the iPad Air and Retina display iPad Mini.

“WinterBoard 0.9.3912 (just released) runs on iOS 7 and seems compatible with ARM64; theme artists are encouraged to report any crashes/bugs,” said Jay Freeman on Twitter.

It is to be noted that Winterboard was working fine on older devices with iOS 7 although it wasn’t very consistent. These bugs are now completely gone with the latest version.

So those who want to customise their iOS devices with different themes, can apply themes without having to worry about the compatibility.

Obviously, there won’t be many themes available for newer devices like iPhone 5s or iPad Air. Hopefully, the jailbreak developer community will be quick to update their existing themes for these newer devices and also develop some new ones.

You might still face some bugs in the new WinterBoard but hopefully these small issues will be resolved with future updates.
