Jay Freeman, the creator of Cydia was astonished to see the release of Evasi0n7. The jailbreak release was a surprise for everyone. It seems like there wasn’t much communication happened between the Evad3rs team Freeman before the release.
But Freeman didn’t take much time in releasing a major update to Cydia with a complete redesign and iOS 7 like user interface.
The new version Cydia 1.1.9 comes with a white background and flat user interface. The app icon on doesn’t appear to be updated.
If you launch Cydia, you will see an alert prompting you to install a new upgrade. Tap on the “Complete Upgrade“. In case you don’t see the alert, go to “Changes” and the tap on “Refresh”. It will reload everything and then it will prompt the alert.
Other than the Cydia Installer, there are some minor updates to UIKitTools. For everything to work smoothly, you must install all of these updates.
Once it downloads and install the new installer, boom and you will see the newly released Cydia app:
Make over of Cydia app was quite necessary as users have been use to of the new flat interface since the arrival of iOS 7.
