Apple today has released iOS 6.1.2 in order to fix the Exchange calendar bug that reportedly was the cause of increased network activity and reduced battery life.

The software update also brought fix to the passcode bug that was highlighted many times last week. The company earlier promised to fix this issue and it now here. Although the passcode bug fix is not mentioned in the release notes.

If you are wondering whether the updated version of the iOS also fixes the jailbreak exploit. Well the good news is that not yet. iOS 6.1.2 is still jail-breakable using the latest version of Evasi0n.

You can download iOS 6.1.2 from iTunes or using the Software Update in the Settings app. Those who have given jailbreak treatment to their iOS 6.1 devices won’t be able to use the Software Update feature under Settings app that are also referred as Over The Air or OTA update. Instead they can update via iTunes or they can simply download the firmware files directly from the links given below.
