Evasi0n 1.2 Released, Fixes Timezone Bug, Disables OTA Updates

by cM Boy on February 9, 2013

Evasi0n has been updated to version 1.2 to fix the timezone bug and disable Over-The-Air (OTA) updates on the jailbroken iOS devices.

Over The Air updated does not work on the jailbroken devices so it disables it that means it won’t show you the notification to update iOS 6.1.1.

Evasi0n has seen two revisions after the launch. The previous version 1.1 was released to fix the stock Weather app crashing and long reboot issue.

We haven’t come across any other issues reported by the users. Apparently, all the bugs are fixed and most probably it won’t see another update.

Evasi0n is also the most stable jailbreak we have seen as most of the users were able to jailbreak their devices without any issues. Not to forget, it has seen almost 7 million downloads in just 4 days which is a huge figure.

Those of you, who have already treated their devices with Evasi0n don’t need to re-jailbreak with the updated version. All they need to do is to update the “evasi0n 6.0-6.1 Untether” package in Cydia. You don’t need to find it, refreshing Cydia will show the notification to update it in the ‘Changes’ section.

But if you are jailbreaking your device for the very first time, then you should use the updated version that is Evasi0n 1.2 in order to jail break their devices.
