Apple launched iPhone 5 two months back and many consumers were looking for un-official unlock solution for it. New unlock for iPhone 5 has arrived in the form of the R-SIM7 sim card.
It is a sim based unlock solution just like the gevey sim but with the ability to unlock fifth generation Apple’s smartphone.
R-Sim7 is compatible with latest firmware iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.0.1 and other than unlocking iPhone 5, it can also unlock iPhone 4S.
There is no jailbreak requirement and it works fine without it. Plus it appears it can do its magic on any baseband.
All you need to do is to insert R-Sim7 card into your iPhone device, go to Settings > Phone > SIM Application and configure the options that includes selecting the network that you want to connect. After that, a restart is required in order to complete the process.
If you are trying to use R-Sim with the CDMA based Verizon model, you need to install an auxiliary patch to iTunes.
Looks like its the most easy unlocking solution for iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S using a sim card method. It it really works like what they are claiming, it would be a hard competition for Gevey Sim.
