Download iOS 6.0.1 For iPhone, iPad And iPod Touch

Apple has just released iOS 6.0.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The updated version contains bug fixes, improved reliability for iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5G to connect to WiFi networks with WPA2 encryption, improvements in the Camera flash and widely reported bug that was causing glitches on the software keyboard.

Here is iOS 6.0.1 change log:

  • Fixes a bug that prevents iPhone 5 from installing software updates wirelessly over the air
  • Fixes a bug where horizontal lines may be displayed across the keyboard
  • Fixes an issue that could cause camera flash to not go off
  • Improves reliability of iPhone 5 and iPod touch (5th generation) when connected to encrypted WPA2 Wi-Fi networks
  • Resolves an issue that prevents iPhone from using the cellular network in some instances
  • Consolidated the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match
  • Fixes a Passcode Lock bug which sometimes allowed access to Passbook pass details from lock screen
  • Fixes a bug affecting Exchange meetings

You can install iOS 6.0.1 either using direct links or using Over The Air update feature. For OTA update, you can navigate to Settings > General > Software Update. iPhone 5 users will have to install iOs updater utility first that will reboot your device before installing the new version of the software. After the reboot, it will ask you to download iOS 6.0.1.
