In case you are wondering about iOS 6 jailbreak, Pod2g confirmed there is currently NO untethered jailbreak exploit for iOS 6. The developer confirmed it during JailbreakCon 2012 in San Francisco.

During the conference, Cyril as known as Pod2g went through technical information of his earlier exploits for both iOS 4 and iOS 5. Remember he is the same legendary developer who is the reason we received iOS 5.0.1 and iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak using Absinthe.

JailbreakCon is the world’s only jailbreak conference and many users were expecting that Chronic Dev Team might release iOS 6 jailbreak during the conference.

Pod2g started talking about iOS 6 by saying “Will I release the iOS 6 jailbreak today? No! Of course not!”

Remember earlier we updated that iPhone 5 has been successfully jailbroken. Pod2g explained that that was in fact a failbreak and its only available for developers and right now that exploit is in no condition to be released for public in its current state.

iOS 6 public version was released almost two weeks ago so lets not get our hopes very high and give some time to the jailbreak developers so they can come up with a better and working solution.
