Safari Download Manager has been updated to version 2.0 to support iOS 5.x. The Cydia tweak adds an extension in Safari browser to download files on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Have your ever got this message “Safari Cannot Download This File” ? Well Safari Download Manager is the solution.
Apple does not allow different type of files to be downloaded on your device due to security reasons. The only media you can have on your device is images in your photo library, videos under Video app and of course you can download music from iTunes. This is where Cydia comes in to break the restriction.

Once its installed, you will see a new button in Safari which is added by it.
When you click on any downloadable content, it shows you the following window where you can also set the download location of the file.
You can pause and resume downloads if its allowed from where the file is hosted. It also provides you with a number of options to open the download files.
You can have simultaneous downloads. The default number of con-current downloads is five which can be changed by going to the Settings app where Safari Download Manager has created its own separate tab.
You can download file of any extension for example Zip, Rar, Deb, PDF, MP4, MP3 Flash, WMV and many more.
Safari Download Manager is developed by Dustin Howett who is also the creator of famous CyDelete Cydia tweak that allows you to delete jailbreak apps on your iOS device.
Safari Download Manager is available for download from Cydia store under BigBoss repository at a price $5.00.
