How to install iOS 6 beta on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch without developer account ? You must be thinking about that after Apple has released it during WWDC 2012. Since beta versions are only for developers and for that you need to enroll yourself under developer program that costs $99.
Remember the device compatibility with iOS 6 is the same as Apple has provided. That means you can install iOS 6 on iPhone 4 / 4S / 3GS, iPad 2 / The New iPad, iPod Touch 4G.
We highly recommend you stay on iOS 5.1.1 and enjoy untethered jailbreak but for those who are curious enough to try iOS 6 beta on their devices just to have a taste of new firmware by Apple, we are there to show you how to do that. Lets not wait anymore and jump right into it. Remember the below method does not involve any UDID registration which is awesome.
IMPORTANT: Those who rely on some unlock like Gevey Sim or Ultrasn0w MUST NOT use this guide as it will update their baseband to 4.12.02 which cannot be unlocked just like 4.11.08 and 4.12.01.
How To Update To iOS 6 Beta without Developer UDID
STEP 1: First of all you need to download iOS 6 beta firmware for your device. You can get the links from some of your friend who has a developer account or googling it will definitely help you. Unfortunately we cannot provide links as its not something that comes in the category of being legal.
STEP 2: Restore your iOS device to the stock iOS 5.1.1 or iOS 5.1 what ever is your current firmware. Now that you have a fresh firmware installed on your device, you can move to the next step. Remember your device must be clean with no Cydia or anything like that in it.
STEP 3: Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes updated by Apple yesterday. Current latest version is iTunes 10.6.3. You can install the latest version from here.
STEP 4: Now connect your device with your computer in which you installed latest iTunes. Now you need to update to iOS 6 beta 1. For that you have to press SHIFT + Update (for Windows users) or Option + Update (for Mac users) and then browse the iOS 6 beta firmware that you have downloaded in STEP 1. MAKE SURE WE ARE UPDATING AND NOT RESTORING. Now wait for it to install it on your device.
