As we have already told you, Apple released revised iOS 5.1.1 only for iPhone 4 GSM model a couple of days ago. It was unclear why they have actually released revised firmware only for one device but we assume that it fixes some bugs. Anyways newly released 5.1.1 build 9B208 for iPhone 4 does not harm jailbreakers and they can update to the latest build.

Absinthe was already updated to version 2.0.2 to support latest build. The alternate jailbreak method named Rocky Racoon, a Cydia package for those who already have tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w is now updated to support 5.1.1 revised IPSW. Rocky Racoon is just Cydia package that converts your tethered jailbreak into untethered. Rocky Racoon 1.0.2 is the updated version for 5.1.1 revised firmware.

Remember users who have tethered jailbreak of iOS 5.1.1 on their devices won’t be able to use Absinthe as it will display a message that your device is already jailbroken. All they need to do is to install Rocky Racoon. We have already covered a guide on how to install Rocky Racoon which you can find below:
