You would love to hear how many devices have been jailbroken with the new jailbreak. Pod2g and Chronic Dev Team released Absinthe 2.0 on Friday, May 25th and just after three days, today they have announced that almost 1 million devices has been jailbroken. This is a huge number.

This is what the Chronic Dev Team has announced on Twitter:

Some stats since release of #Absinthe – 211,401 jailbroken iPad3′s and 973,086 devices newly jailbroken! #JBFTW ! ;D

Absinthe 2.0 was released for all iOS devices except for ATV3. Other than that its compatible even with the latest devices including the new iPad (iPad 3).

The great thing about Absinthe is that you don’t have to put your device in DFU mode and go through a series of step. Just download it for your Mac, Windows or Linux, open the software, connect your device with the computer and press one button on the tool and it will do rest of the magic. Yes its that simple.

We have seen a very little amount of complains from users who got different errors while jailbreaking their devices. Other than that Absinthe proved its stability.

As more and more people are jailbreaking their devices with the latest tool, let us see how many more devices are going to be jailbroken in a week or so before Apple releases iOS 5.1.2 to patch it. Remember you need to save your SHSH blobs on iOS 5.1.1 so you can always downgarde back to 5.1.1 to enjoy untether.

If you haven’t yet jailbroken your device on iOS 5.1.1, you can easily do so by going to the link:
