Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 was released yesterday in the form if Absinthe 2.0 for all devices. Pod2g along with the fellow developers have made it possible. Remember before the arrival of jailbreak, Pod2g put a poll on his website asking users whether they want him to save his exploits for iOS 6 or release them for iOS 5.1.1. Of course most of them voted for asking him to release for iOS 5.1.1 and don’t wait for iOS 6.
Well we have a great news for you. No worries the exploits has been used on iOS 5.1.1. Pod2g has more exploits which he imagine would work on iOS 6 which is not ever released. Just WOW. iOS 6 Jailbreak.
In an Interview, Pod2g whose real name is Cyril, told that he has a part of a jailbreak for iOS 6:
“We won’t give up on jailbreaking iOS devices because this is too important for us and we already have a part of the jailbreak for iOS 6 and we will be ready right on time for it,”
“We will not give you the exact recipe, but we have other exploits that we won’t release at any time. This is our secret. It allows us to inject stuff into new devices and to start dumping the memory. When we have the dumps, we look at different ways of finding the vulnerability,”
“Each member of the team works differently and this usually leads to finding vulnerabilities quickly. We find them in one month or two and then we start exploiting them. We start this process only when the final version of the system is released,” Cyril added.
“That’s why we always have a delay after the release to do a jailbreak. Because we need to be assured that what we do will work for sure, that they don’t fix it in the beta 3 or beta 4, so we start only when the release is here.”
Remember this does not mean that they have a fully working jailbreak ready for iOS 6. May be they have found vulnerabilities and they believe that these vulnerabilities will also be present in the upcoming version. Of course they need to work on it to write exploits to make sure their method works.
