Earlier we told you that iPhone Dev Team has released an updated version of Redsn0w that allows you to downgrade iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and the new iPad. This is for the first time A5 devices are being able to downgrade to the jailbreakable firmware.
iPhone 4S owners have complained that they have SHSH blobs for the firmware iOS 5.0.1 build 9A406 but they were only unable to downgrade using Redsn0w. iPhone Dev Team quickly fixed the issue and released Redsn0w 0.9.11b2.
Remember we are taling about the iOS 5.0.1 build 9A406, the firmware which didn’t came with a new firmware version and it was released with the same 5.0.1 number. Rest of the iPhone 4S users didn’t face any problem downgrading their devices.
So if you have SHSH blobs saved for this specific build and were unable to downgrade your device, you can still do it with the updated Redsnow. Other than that it works exactly the same. We have already covered a guide which you can find below along with downloads.
