Pod2g continues to amaze us. The developer has successfully jailbroken the new iPad (iPad 3) on iOS 5.1 and yes its untethered. iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak is his next target.
Previously we told you that he has successfully jailbroken iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1 and now the third generation iPad.
There is still a lot of work to be done before he releases it to the public. But the good news is that his exploits will work on all devices including the iPhone 4S.
Remember that its complicated to release a jailbreak for multiple devices because different generation of devices are involved which run different processors. If a developer has a jailbreak for A4 devices, it does not necessarily means it will work on the A5 devices. But not in this case because Pod2g is working for all devices.
Remember earlier we told you that Stefan Esser has a working untethered jailbreak for iPad 3 but he won’t release it. Well to hell with that if he does not want to release. We have Pod2g who believes in releasing it to the public.
