Here is an update for those waiting for iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak. Earlier Pod2g claimed that he has finally bypassed the ASLR. Now he has updated the status in a series of tweets that says the public release could take a month or may be longer.

This is what he tweeted:

ETA for 5.1 JB: no clue! We’re going to set pieces of the puzzle together this week. We could have issues… Could be 1 month maybe 2…

I know 1 month seems long, but it’s short to work on a project like this when it’s a hobby and you’ve other things to do as well. via

A lot of people might get a little annoyed after reading this but finding vulnerabilities and writing exploits is not an easy task and we still get the jailbreak for free every time.

Also thing have changed after the SAM unlock that can unlock your iPhone on any baseband on firmware iOS 5.0 and later. This may result in an early iOS 5.2 release by Apple to fix the vulnerability. So make sure you stay and do not update when a new firmware arrives.
