Chronic Dev Team has released Absinthe for Windows users to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 device. Earlier Absinthe was released as a Mac only tool but now its updated for Windows operating system. Download link is available at the end of this post.
Remember we already have iPhone 4S / iPad 2 jailbreak solution for Windows users with cInject, a command line tool by iPhone Dev Team. But it was complicated to use as users have to write commands to jailbreak their devices.
Absinthe on the other hand is a graphical user interface and its too easy to use. All you need to do is to connect your device with your computer, run Absinthe and click on the Jailbreak button.
It jailbreak iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1 while iPad 2 can only be jailbroken on iOS 5.0.1. Remember if you need unlock for iPhone 4S, you need to stay on iOS 5.0 and jailbreak it instead of iOS 5.0.1.
