The young jailbreak developer iH8sn0w has released an updated version of his one of tool iReb. The new iReb 5 is updated for latest iOS 5 series firmware version and can be downloaded for Windows to install custom firmware for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
iReb tool helps you bypass iTunes errors while you restore successfully the custom IPSW. Download link is available below.
This is what the new version offers:
- Much smaller file size (390kb).
- Fixed USB 3.0 issues.
- iREB’s speed for the iPhone 2G/iPhone 3G/iPod Touch 1G has increased significantly!
- Fixed rare DFU detection issues.
- Updated limera1n/steaks4uce payload to not hook “cmd_go” on 4.x images (nothing severe, but useless here).
If you have ever received iTunes errors like 1600, 1601, 1602 and so on that iTunes gives you while you try to restore a custom IPSW through it, iReb is a simple solution to avoid all these errors which are really annoying.
