Pod2g, the hacker behind the upcoming untethered iOS 5.0.1 JB has uploaded another demo video of his jailbreak running on an iPhone 4 device. The developer has released this video specifically for those who have doubts like his jailbreak only works on iPod Touch 3G and 4G. This time he shows a demo on iPhone 4 device.
Pod2g has also confirmed again that untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak is working on all old iOS device that includes iPhone 4 / 3GS, iPad 1 and iPod touch 3G / 4G.
It is NOT working on iPhone 4s and iPad 2 on iOS 5. He has also posted that jailbreak is ready for prime time excluding iPad 2 and iPhone 4s, which apparently means they will be releasing it for other device first and A5 devices will get it later when ready.
This is what he has updated on his blog along with the video below:
Here is a new video demo of the current status of the 5.0.1 jailbreak running on an iPhone 4.
This is meant to reassure people that were thinking it only works on older iPods.
The jailbreak is near ready for prime time (excluding 4S and iPad 2).
Patches are the same as redsn0w’s. Expect the same level of stability.
Some more days to wait. Be patient, we’re doing our best.
