We are all waiting anxiously for the untethered iOS 5 jailbreak. Earlier we told you that Pod2g he has successfully jailbroken iOS 5.0 followed by a test of his jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 that also went fine. Now he has more news for us.
The developer has updated his blog a number of times confirming his progress on different devices. Check out what he has posted. The developer has now successfully coded his untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak for devices including iPad, iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 3GS. Earlier he successfully tested his exploit on iPhone 4 running on iOS 5.0.1.

Pod2g has not tested it on iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Earlier he tweeted that he will test it on these A5 devices as well. So stay tuned.
Apple TV 2 4.4.3 is yet to be tested. As you can see in the post that Firecore team, the one behind Seas0nPass jailbreak tool is sending him an Apple TV device to test his jailbreak.
Slowly he is coming close to fully finalize it. We hope he release untethered 5.0.1 jailbreak soon. Remember no estimated time of arrival has been told by the developer but we are expecting it soon.

Also save your iOS 5.0 SHSH blobs using iFaith to be on he safe side. If you save your iOS 5.0 and update to iOS 5.0.1 or above, you can always downgrade back to iOS 5.
