Leaked Jailbreak Me iPad 2 Jailbreak May Result In iOS 4.3.4 Release

All of you know that Comex’s most awaited Jailbreak Me 3.0 for iPad 2 jailbreak was leaked a day before yesterday. While the developer was giving it the final touches, the PDF based exploit was leaked and publicly posted. The news was circulated like fire. Well, now we are listening to an interesting rumor. Apple is expected to release iOS 4.3.4 to fix the Jailbreak Me 3.0 exploit used for the iPad 2 jailbreak.

As we have written earlier, the leaked files were posted publicly which means if it reaches in the hands of Apple official developers working for the company, its going to be an end for this exploit. They will release iOS 4.3.4 to patch it or remove the vulnerability found by Comex.

As we have told you earlier, the upcoming iPad2 jailbreak using JailbreakMe 3.0 is capable of working on iOS 4.2.1 to iOS 4.3.3. So, if Apple releases iOS 4.3.4, all you need to do are two things:

  • NOT TO UPDATE to iOS 4.3.4
  • Save SHSH blobs of iOS 4.3.3 for your iPad 2 device to be on the safe side

According to a jailbreak developer FilippoBiga:

“It will take Apple something like 20 mins to reverse the exploit triggered by the PDF library and patch it. Save your 4.3.3 SHSH NOW please!”

There are different stories about how it was leaked. Some says its the beta testers of Comex who leaked the files. Other tell other stories. We are more interested whether we are getting it or not and above all when are we getting it. Rite ?

If Apple patches it, its going to be the second time Comex’s iPad 2 jailbreak is patched before even he releases it.

Good thing is that Comex is confident enough to release it even its leaked. Apparently the leaked version was not complete. Also he seems sure that it will still work up to iOS 4.3.3. So we recommend you to save your iPad 2 iOS 4.3.3 SHSHS hashes.

    Whether it was leaked or posted on his own time, wouldn’t apple still combat Comex’s JB 3.0 with a 4.3.4 release? Just sooner not later, right?

      Right, but that also means that new iPads will come with 4.3.4 right out of the box.  So many people will buy the new iPad with the new firmware and find out they have to wait another 4 months to jaialbreak.

    This article is irrelevant. What Apple does after 4.3.3 is of no interest since Jailbreak Me 3.0 doesn’t purport to go beyond it.

    The sobering story is that Comex’s genius was likely blocked by Apple at 4.3.0, and that he has no working jailbreak after that.  The leaked pdf goes back to what he produced in March – an exploit covering 4.3.0. It is relevant to perhaps the 100 people out there with early Ipads who didn’t upgrade.  None of the leaked pdfs for later IOS versions works, so we have zero proof that he has anything more up his sleeve.

    The exploit doesnt work with iOS 5, so why bother with 4.3.4? Also, since Apple doesnt have anything to add to iOS 4, no one would be compelled to use it. Not that I like the leaker (I actually hate them for ruining it for comex) but I don’t thInk it would have made any difference.
