Icy which is a Cydia alternative is now available for your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. If you are unaware, Icy managed and offered by Ripdevs is a software application just like Cydia. It allows you to browse and download applications, tweaks, etc just like Cydia. It was previously shutdown and made open source after iOS 3.1.x firmware release.
Previously Icy was taken over by a WeAmDev and Infini Dev. It is said to be a light weight and fast application. Let us see whether its is going to give a hard time to Cydia or not.
ICY is updated to work with iOS 4.x and above firmwares. Most probably it will work on all firmwares above iOS 4.x including iOS 4.1, iOS 4.2, iOS 4.2.1, iOS 4.3, iOS 4.3.1 and iOS 4.3.2.
You can download the beta version of Icy. SSH to your iOS device and install using iFile. You have to Respring before you start using Icy.
