And we have a great news. Cydia is now working fine with no problems. Previously many users were having issues with Cydia. Users were reporting problems with the management of packages. Not only the Cydia SHSH option that it was not showing, users were unable to buy a few of the applications in Cydia Store. Not only this, the already purchased apps were also prompting error messages asking to reinstall them. If you are unaware of the whole story, Amazaon EC2 outage was the actual reason why people were having issues with it. Cydia is also hosted on the same zone of Amazon cloud that was effected.

Anyways, now it appears to be working fine. Everything with the packages management etc is now normal. It has been confirmed by the developer of Cydia, Jay Freeman as known as Saurik. He has announced on his Twitter account:

After 86 hours offline, Cydia is finally back! I’m eating some celebratory cake, and am looking forward to a night with >1.5 hours of sleep!

cydia working fine

Saurik has also removed the warning message that he has put to inform the new users about the server instability of Cydia.

You can buy apps or can use the previously purchased apps, deal with SHSH blobs etc. as everything is normal now with Cydia.

VeryRite Team has also checked it and finds nothing unusual. So have fun with it. Remember to say a thanks to Jay Freeman @saurik on Twitter.
