We have already told you about Stefan Esser and his untethered iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak solution. In fact its the last exploit left. All other exploits are patched by Apple. Even the one on which Comex is working is also patched. Esser has delivered his exploit to the iPhone Dev Team who are doing a beta test on it.
This is what he has announced on his Twitter account:
Please don’t bother the dev-team now. The deal is: if the beta test is successfull, they are free to do whatever they want with it.
The iphone-dev-team is already beta-testing the untether. So it is up to them to give you your tool of choice.
The below device can be jailbroken on iOS 4.3.1 using this undisclosed exploit:
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 3G
- iPod Touch 4G
- iPod Touch 3G
- iPod Touch 2G
- iPad 1
Only iPad 2 can’t be jailbroken using this exploit, However Comex managed to jailbreak iPad 2 running on iOS 4.3, but the hole has been discovered by Apple. iPad 2 users will have to wait a little longer to get the untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1.
