Famous developer Jay Freeman as know as Jay Saurik has released Cydia 1.1 which is now the latest version. According to him the Cydia 1.1 is faster, slimmer and more stable. It also includes improved search algorithm and resume from where you left off option. If you are still unaware, Cydia lets you browse and download apps outside the official Apple App Store. Of course its only for the users with jailbroken iOS devices.
This is what he has tweeted:
Cydia 1.1: faster, slimmer, and more stable; including an improved search algorithm and “resume where you left off”. Available in Cydia now!
To get the latest update, all you need to run Cydia and it will ask you to let it install some updates. Use it and you will know that speed has really improved.
Of course multitasking is not there which Saurik has already explained. ‘Resume where you left off’ option is there which you can say kind of resolves the issue of Multitasking.
Install the latest update and let us know how much better you finds it compared to its previous version.
Update by Saurik:
Note: installing Cydia 1.1 removes older default packages. This is normal: repositories are managed differently, and will not be deleted. ;P
