Few days back Sony has released PlayStation 3 firmware 3.60. The latest firmware was said to be very secure against exploits and has patched many possible vulnerabilities. The news is that it has been hacked and jailbroken.
The person behind this exploit is Winocm who has shown a video which reveals that the latest PS3 firmware 3.60 has been jailbroken.
Bad thing is that the hacker is not going to release his tool or technique. Why? Of course we all know what happened to GeoHot who is sued by Sony and still facing the trial after jailbreaking PS 3.55. Hackers are now avoiding to reveal such thing publicly. Previously we have also see PS3 3.56 jailbreak which never came out because its developer was not willing to open it.
PS3 3.60 was released few days back to address security issues specifically. Apart from fixing the exploits, new PS3 firmware version 3.60 offers PlayStation Plus Subscribers, a service allowing you to boot saved games from the Cloud. Each PSN users is allowed to add up to 150MB of games data and up to 1000 files.
Check out the video below. Also see the images which shows that its running 3.60 software. Proof of which is the online storage option.
