We have already shown you a video posted by Stefan Esser which demonstrated iOS 4.3 jailbreak. The video was of course real. But looks like we are going to wait. Esser on his Twitter account I0n1c has announced that we have to wait for it until Apple releases iOS 4.3.1.
The justification of it is understandable. It not just another delay. Apple is cooking the iOS 4.3.1. The prime reason for another firmware update is security.
Yesterday we have seen Charlie Miller hacked into the iPhone 4 and wins the Pwn2Own hacking contest. On the other hand, German security team Vupen was also successful to pwn Safari web browser. The same vulnerabilities are also present in the current iOS 4.3 firmware. So, after these events, Apple is surely releasing the iOS 4.3.1.
This is what Esser has tweeted:
With Apple already baking 4.3.1 the first one releasing an iOS 4.3 jailbreak will pretty much burn the exploit :P
Well Apple should release 4.3.1 very soon, because tomorrow everybody knows that @0xcharlie popped an iPhone 4 at #pwn2own through Safari.
BTW: I never said that I would wait for 4.3.1 to be released. I only said that releasing it now might burn it fast.
