After the 64GB iPad announcement now you can see 64GB iPhone 4 Engineering prototypes. According to a report by Unwire.hk, these models are on sale in Sin Tak which is the greatest Grey Market in Hong Kong. Sellers are also claiming that these are actually the engineered models and available for a short time due to its availability.
They can make a fake image but the back of the phone shows ‘iPhone XXGB’ written on it. This reminds us the biggest iPhone story last year when Gizmodo bought a leaked iPhone 4 prototype before its launch.
The phone shows the model number as XXXX, and the FCC ID as BCG-XXXXXX. The screen also shows 64GB storage and the model is 995-6049LL. More interestingly the phone is not locked.
We were expecting 64GB iPhone 5 by Apple. Same storage with iPhone 4 is a new thing for us. Let us see if we can find some more such prototypes.
