Apparently iPhone Dev Team has failed to release a better version of untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak. Chronic Dev Team is set to release their version of Greenpois0n untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1. Users are almost fed up of all these claims. Most of them says that hackers have failed and they should accept that they are unable to launch untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1. On the other hand their is a young guy who have not claimed or even talked to bring any untethered jailbreak but according to MuscleNerd he has an untethered jailbreak solution. That person is GeoHot. The young hacker who is at the moment facing a trial against Sony for jailbreaking their PlayStation 3 firmware 3.55.

MuscleNerd has tweeted that GeoHot might release his iBoot level untethered exploit after Verizon iPhone 4 launch on Feb 10. It is expected that this untethered bootrom level exploit will pwn iOS devices including Verizon CDMA iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and iPad 2 for life.

Here is what MuscleNerd has tweeted:

@pod2g (for instance I think geohot will release his iboot-level untether for certain devices after 2/10/11, if there’s a void)

geohot untethered

The upcoming tool by GeoHot might be Rubyra1n of which we have already updated you.

Previously we have seen GeoHot ported Comex’s userland exploit to create his Limera1n jailbreak. The young hacker never wanted to waste his untethered version of bootrom exploit at that time which was said to be much better than Limera1n.
