Redsn0w is falling on us in the form of beta. Here is another one. iPhone Dev Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.7 beta 6. If you are unaware of it, Redns0w 0.9.7 is the untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak solution for iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G.
Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 6 fixes Skype issues and available for download for Mac OS X. It requires you to access the iOS 4.2b3 that means only only the iPhone Developer program holder can access the IPSW. The next version of Redsn0w 0.9.7 is expected to add iOS 4.1 monte to stop people to pirate iOS 4.2b3 for untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak.
Update #6: The sixth beta is now available (testers ONLY please!). This version fixes Skype. Please do not pirate the 4.2b3 IPSW! Only those enrolled in the iPhone Developer program have legitimate access to that IPSW using these links (the links won’t work unless you’re a legit developer currently logged in).
Unlike the last few betas, you can freely run beta6 over beta5 without a problem (but for testing purposes, we’d really like people to try both ways….from stock, and from already jailbroken).
