Previously we have seen a hacker installed Gingerbread 2.3 update on Samsung Galaxy S handset. Now XDA developers have successfully ported Android 2.3 Gingerbread on HTC HD 2. Most of its parts are functional except for the few that need more testing and debugging.
Audio, 3G / Data, Bluetooth, 720p PLAYBACK and Wi-Fi are the fully functional. Camera, Contacts synchronization (need fresh GAPPS) and Auto Backlight are not functional but these are under process and expected to be be functional soon.
