Unlock Google Nexus S Bootloader To Install Custom ROMs

The new version of Good handset, Google Nexus S is now available at BestBuy. The bootloader of Nexus S has been unlocked. So what is the advantage of unlocking its Bootloader? Unlocking Nexus S BootLoader will allow you to go into the custom recovery mode. After that you will be able to install and run custom ROMs.

How to Unlock Google Nexus S Bootloader:

Step 1: Download Android 2.3 Software Development Kit (SDK).

Step 2: Hold down Power Key and Volume Up at the same time.

Step 3: After that you are now you are in Standard Recovery Mode.

Step 4: Now install Android 2.3 SDK with Fastboot that you have downloaded in Step 1.

Step 5: Now open the Command Prompt in case of if you are a Windows user or open Terminal app if you are using Mac.

Step 6: Now in the command prompt type “fastboot devices” (without quotes) to check if your device is connected vis USB.

Step 7: Now you have to type “adb reboot bootloader”.

Step 8: Type “fastboot oem unlock”.

Step 9: Choose “Yes, unlock bootloader” by using volume keys. Options can be selected using power button.

Congratulations! Your Google Nexus S Bootloader has been unlocked.

Remember: The process of unlocking Bootloader will also reset the device to factory settings. via AC
