Back at the time when iOS 4.1 was released, an iPhone hacker named pod2g developed SHAtter exploit by collaborating and taking help of p0sixninja who is Chronic Dev Team member. SHAtter was developed to jailbreak iOS 4.1 but GeoHot released Limer1n to jailbreak all iOS devices running iOS 4.1. SHAtter was preserved for next generation devices including iPhone 5 and iPad new version iPad 2.
iPhone hacker and the developer of Sn0wbreeze jailbreak tool, iH8sn0w have the source code of it. iH8sn0w has apparently given the source code to iHaz3.
Notice that iHaz3 is not a member of iPhone Dev Team or Chronic Dev Team or any other. Few sources have claimed that iHaz3 has started distributing SHAtter’s exploit that will burn the exploit.
SHAtter jailbreak tool is the very first exploit in S5L8930 BootRom that let unsigned execution of code to make a tethered jailbreak.
