Samsung has achieved another big milestone as the company has passed over 1 million Samsung Galaxy Tab units in just two months after its launch. It is expected to reach 1.5 million units by the end of this year. On the other hand, the company has shipped 3 million Samsung Galaxy S handsets in the United States.
Almost one week ago, the company had sold 600,000 Samsung Galaxy Tab units worldwide. After that sales has increased exponentially over the holiday period due to its availability through 120 mobile carriers in 64 countries.
The company is dominant in its domestic market by selling 100,000 Tab units in just 20 days.
There is only one big competitor for it that is Apple’s iPad that has previously sold over two million iPad units in its first two months. Is it going to beat new version of Apple’s iPad in coming days ????
On the other hand, the company is already doing great with its Samsung Galaxy S phone. It has shipped over 3 million Galaxy S handsets in the U.S and snatched 32.1% market share in U.S Android market.
“I want to personally thank everyone who selected a Galaxy S smartphone as their mobile handset of choice. Neither of these wonderful accomplishments would have been possible without the loyalty and support of our customers,” said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Mobile. “The Galaxy S portfolio has played a significant role in Samsung’s success in 2010 and we are extremely excited to show you what products, services and innovations we have in store for the U.S. market in 2011.”
