Bing for Android app was previously available only on Verizon network. Microsoft has announced that its search engine Bing is now available on all major US network carriers through the Android Market.

Microsoft announced this in a post on the Bing Search blog saying “Android users can find the Bing image of the day with clickable hotspots, image search, news, local business listings and reviews, instant answers for movies, flights movies, and more.”

Apart from Bing on Android app availability on all network carriers, Bing app will be pre-installed on he Samsung Continuum and Motorola Citrus on Verizon.

When you search something in Bing Android app, it opens the link in the app’s browser insteading of opening it in your own browser which is a kind of annoying. Apart from that there are several good features in this app which are as follows.

  • Endless scrolling search
  • Integrated voice search
  • Bing News
  • Local ratings
  • Local reviews
  • Image of the day
  • Bing Maps
