Much awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab has gone on sale in UK. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is the first tablet device that is expected to compete well with Apple’s iPad. The device has come in UK after a lot of speculation specially over pricing.
Samsung Galaxy Tab is a 7-inch display tablet device that uses Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo as its operating system.
The tablet device was expected to be coming on all major network carriers. Carphone Warehouse, Dixons, and T-Mobile is also set for the Tab’s sale. Engadget reported
“At the moment, we’re seeing it in stock at the Carphone Warehouse under a variety of plans ranging from a £499.99 with a £10 pay monthly plan on Talk Mobile that includes 1GB of data. On the other extreme is a £99.99 deal that requires a £40 per month two year contract that includes 5GB of data on Three. It’s also offered for a standalone price of £529.99. And please, whatever you do don’t call it a UMPC, that was so 5 years ago“
Recent updates shows that Orange is also set to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab at similar price. On the other hand, O2 is offering the tablet device at an unsteady price of £599 for all plans.
Although Steve Jobs has criticized 7-inch display and said that 7-inch display wont be coming for the new version of iPad. Samsung Galaxy Tab has got decent reviews from technology websites and blogs from all over the world.
Another reason why Samsung Galaxy Tab has got impressive reviews is the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone series which has done a tremendous sale.
