Apple Releases Beta Of iOS 4.2 iPhone iPad iPod Touch With AirPrint Support

Apple has released on Wednesday first beta of iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The new iOS 4.2 is a unified operating system for all devices of Apple that include iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Apple has also introduced wireless printing facility in its new iOS. The wireless printing facility is named as AirPrint . Another great news is that finally we have multi-tasking for iPad as well.

AirPrint is already integrated in iOS 4.2 and it will set to release in November. Apple has announced that ePrint enabled printer by HP will be available for AirPrint.

Specifically, Airprint is allowed to work oniPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad , iPod Touchand second generation device of Apple.

Philip Schiller Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing said :

“AirPrint is Apple’s powerful new printing architecture that matches the simplicity of iOS—no set up, no configuration, no printer drivers and no software to download,”. “iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users can simply tap to print their documents or photos wirelessly to an HP ePrint printer or to a printer shared on a Mac or PC.”

iOS 4.2 devices will be able to share and send content to other OS devices which include Mac and Windows . AirPrint facilitates its users to find local printer automatically without any need to install or download the drivers.

HP Photosmart, Officejet, Officejet Pro and LaserJet Pro series printers are ePrint enabled and can use AirPrint functionality.HP will make it possible to introduce more ePrint enabled printers this year.
